FAQs

How do you hold sessions?

All of our sessions are held online in order to make our work together as accessible and convenient as possible. These sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that ensures your privacy and confidentiality. This allows you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own home or any private space that’s convenient for you.

Online therapy can be especially helpful for busy schedules or if you're in a location that makes in-person sessions challenging.

Do you bill Insurance?

Yes! We are committed to providing accessible and transparent billing practices for all our clients. We understand that navigating insurance can sometimes be a complex process, and we strive to make your experience as simple and stress-free as possible. We partner with Headway that allows us to bill a number of insurances. Some of the insurances we currently work with are Aetna, Cigna, Careloon, United Healthcare and Quest. If we currently do not bill your insurance, we can still try to help by providing you with a super-bill as an out of network provider. We’re also working to expand to more insurances

If you're unsure whether your insurance plan is accepted, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office. Our team will be happy to verify your coverage and help guide you through the next steps.

What can I expect in my first therapy session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and establish a comfortable, collaborative space. We’ll discuss your goals for therapy, what brought you in, and any concerns or challenges you’re currently facing. You can expect to talk about your life, but the focus will be on understanding where you are now and what you’re hoping to achieve.

My approach is nonjudgmental and supportive, so please feel free to share at your own pace. By the end of the session, we’ll work together to develop a plan that feels right for you moving forward.

How long will I be in therapy?

The length of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people come for a few sessions to work through specific issues, while others may continue for several months or even years as they navigate deeper or ongoing challenges.

During our sessions, we’ll regularly check in on your progress and make adjustments as needed. Therapy is a process, and together we’ll determine the best course of action for you.

What if I need to Cancel or Reschedule a session?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, we require at least 48 hours notice. If a session is canceled with less than 48 hours or if you don’t show up, the full session fee may apply.
